Guest Speaker Series at Norwood ESOL

Ted Lehan, a patrol officer from the Canton Police Department, visited Adult ESOL at Norwood on October 29th to speak to students about public safety and rules of the road. A big Norwood ESOL thanks to a job well done! Here are two students’ responses on what they learned.

Ted Lehan "I learned about driving in the United States. Here is very important to follow the road rules. Respect and be polite with the officer. He told us what to do or not when a policeman are coming to the car, no parking on handicap spots and the most important is to have a driver’s license. It was very helpful." - America Cuevas

Ted Lehan "First I want to say that officer Ted Lehan spoke very clear and slow. I’ve learned interesting things: I can’t drive with my native driver’s license. I have to be polite when police officer stop me. It was for the first time that police officer spoke a lot to me (us). And I think that he was perfect." - Strahil Ivanov
